What does backordering a domain mean?

Domains that are not renewed in time enter quarantine for a period of at least 90 days. During the quarantine period (also known as the PendingDelete state) the domain can still be reactivated by its owner by paying the maintenance fee.

If the domain is not reactivated, once the quarantine period ends it is deleted from the .RO Registry and can be registered by anyone on a first-come, first-served basis.

Domain monitoring and backordering is a premium service offered by EUReg and its partners: it watches a list of domains you're interested in and tries to register them as soon as they become available.
