What is an Escrow transaction?

To ensure Marketplace transactions run safely, we offer the Secure Transfer (Escrow) service.

The Escrow service holds the funds negotiated between the parties safely until the transaction is completed.

How does a secure transaction for selling a .ro website work?

1. The buyer pays the full agreed amount into the EUReg account. Depending on the transaction value, payment can be made by credit card or bank transfer (in RON or EUR);
2. EUReg confirms receipt of the funds, makes the website code archive available to the buyer, and starts the transfer of the right of use for the associated domain;
3. The seller confirms the transfer of the right of use;
4. RoTLD, as the registry for .ro domains, validates the transfer of the right of use;
5. The buyer pays the Maintenance fee and the transfer is completed;
6. EUReg transfers the transaction amount to the seller, minus intermediation fees;
