A subdomain is an extension of your main domain, in the form blog.example.ro or shop.example.ro . Technically it is just a DNS record (usually of type A or CNAME) added to the main domain's zone. A subdomain can point to: another folder or application on the same hosting account; a completely different server or service (for example an online shop hosted separately). Subdomains are not registered with the registry (EURid/RoTLD) and don't involve extra costs — they're created and removed directly in the domain's DNS zone, either from your EUReg customer account (if you use EUReg's nameservers) or from your hosting provider's control panel.
