Error “Could not determine the nameserver IP addresses” – what does it mean?
This error usually appears when registering or modifying custom nameservers (nameservers hosted on your own domain, e.g. ns1.yourdomain.ro), when the registry cannot determine the IP address associated with that nameserver.
Common causes:
- the custom nameserver (glue record) hasn't been registered yet with the correct IP address at the registry;
- the domain the nameserver itself is hosted on isn't active or doesn't have a valid A record;
- the IP was recently changed, and the registry is still showing the old information.
The fix is to make sure the custom nameserver has a correctly created glue record (a direct name-to-IP association) at the registry before using it for other domains. From your EUReg customer account you can create and manage custom nameservers from the domain's details section.
