I received an email about confirming the domain holder's details – is it legitimate?

Registries (RoTLD, EURid) and accredited agents, including EUReg, periodically send requests to confirm a domain holder's contact details (name, address, email). This is a standard requirement, meant to keep the WHOIS database accurate and comply with applicable regulations — it doesn't mean something is wrong with your domain.

To check whether such an email is legitimate:

• check the exact sender address — EUReg communications always come from the eureg.ro domain;
• never enter card details or your account password in response to such an email;
• if in doubt, don't click the links in the email; log in directly at your EUReg customer account and check the domain's details there.

If you don't confirm your details within a reasonable timeframe, some registries (especially for international extensions, under ICANN policy) may temporarily suspend the domain until it's confirmed.
