Can my data be hidden from the WHOIS database?

It depends on the domain's extension and the type of holder.

For .RO domains, RoTLD does not publicly display contact details (email, phone) for individuals, regardless of which agent registered the domain — this protection is automatic and requires no action on your part.

For .EU domains, EURid applies a similar policy: individuals' data is not public in WHOIS, in line with GDPR.

For generic extensions (.COM, .NET, .ORG, etc.), WHOIS data protection depends on that registry's own policy and, sometimes, on an optional privacy protection service offered by the agent. Check your domain's details in your EUReg customer account to see what options are available for your extension.
