What is RoTLD?
RoTLD (the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics - ICI Bucharest, through its RoTLD department) is the organization that manages the registry for domains with the .RO extension, similar to the role EURid plays for .EU domains.
RoTLD sets the technical and administrative rules for registering, renewing, transferring, and deleting .ro domains, maintains the WHOIS database for .ro domains, and accredits agents (such as EUReg) who are authorized to register .ro domains on behalf of customers.
EUReg has been a RoTLD-accredited agent since 2007 and automatically processes registration, renewal, and transfer orders for .ro domains through RoTLD's systems.
