What does “authorized agent” mean?

An authorized agent (also called a registrar — see the difference between a Registry, a Registrar and a Registrant) is a company that meets the financial and technical requirements set by a top-level domain operator (a registry) in order to be allowed to register domains on customers' behalf.

EUReg.ro is operated by Extreme Solutions SRL, an agent authorized to register domains by EURid (the operator of .EU domains) and RoTLD (the operator of .RO domains) since 2007. This accreditation requires meeting strict technical and financial requirements, verified directly by both registries.
