How do I give up a domain (.ro, .eu, or international)?

If you no longer need a domain, you have two options:

Don't renew it. The simplest way to give up a domain is to not pay the renewal proforma invoice when it expires (you can also disable its automatic generation from your customer account). The domain will enter quarantine and will eventually be released according to that extension's rules (see What happens when a domain is deleted?).

Request early deletion. If you want the domain released sooner (for example so someone else can register it right away, or for compliance reasons), you can request that it be deleted before expiration by contacting us through EUReg support. Note that fees already paid for the current period are non-refundable.

In both cases, if the domain has active services attached (hosting, email), remember to deactivate or migrate those separately, to avoid continuing to be billed for them.
