What does “transfer” mean?

If you registered a domain through another company (registrar) and no longer want to use its services, you can transfer your domains to EUReg.ro through the change of registrar process, or "transfer" for short.

Some extensions allow free transfers between different agents (this is the case for .RO domains), while other extensions require a transfer fee that may include an extension of the validity period.

To start the transfer process, you need a transfer key (auth code), which is obtained from the domain's current owner. The transfer cannot be carried out without the transfer key.

For .RO domains, the transfer key can only be obtained from the RoTLD portal.
